Laptop Death

Yes, the title says it all. It was a sad day. This week, my old laptop Dylan finally kicked the bucket - or at least the screen did. I spent at least half an hour in the deepest of mourning before completing a full recovery and going out to buy Timmy. Timmy is the new laptop.

Sorry Dylan. I moved on pretty quickly - RIP!

In other news I was kind of nearing the end of the week and I realised I'd done absolutely nothing creative - in my frenzy of going to the gym and getting through some work I just totally neglected to take some time and do anything like that! Obviously that had to be immediately remedied so I did some research and found this:

I think it kind of looks like vertical bunting. Obviously something as cute as that just belongs in my room - so I'm making my own now, of course! Not hearts though. Diamonds. 

I'm using all of my leftover material from the quilt since there's quite a bit of it - I'm going to cut about 50 diamonds and arrange them into 5 columns of 10. I'm not sure how I'll sew them together yet though. I think I'll use some plain material and make a long thin strip and sew them onto that. We'll see what happens this week and I'll let you know!

I've not got a great deal to say today because I'm just feeling a little bit drained, but there'll be an update on this weeks 'picture-in' tomorrow as always. So in closing, please enjoy this picture of my flatmates pretending to be meerkats on my new webcam! (It needed testing, apparently).
