Anyway now that I'm posting I may as well continue!

So it was Red Nose Day this weekend and obviously we watched the comic relief thing - and got drunk - in the living room instead of going out like real students. It was actually really good! But tragic too. So many sad stories, I just couldn't cope!! Apparently I started drunkenly raving about going to Africa and building a house to save the world, which is a genius idea, but probably a bit ambitious.

It was also the Lancaster uni Campus Festival this weekend however and that was really amazing! It happened right outside our flat, so we watched from the window instead of going outside to stand in the cold:

Anyhow, talk later kids, I actually have work to do today! I got my linguistics essay titles and they are all dreadful! I think I've more or less decided to do the one on writing systems though - I have to choose a  writing system like Runic, Arabic and whatnot, research its origin and analyse how its changed and evolved under the influence of some of its languages' phonology. Exciting stuff! (It actually is!).
