But before I go any further - I found this picture of the Valentine's Day chicken and leek pie my freshers and I made!
I am essentially a culinary genius. Wouldn't I make just such a good housewife?! FYI - This is before we baked it, it didn't come out looking that pale.
So in other news! RAG RUGGING
Oh my god, its a mixture of boring, but addictive, all at the same time. How crazy is that? Its hard to keep up!!! Here are some of the pictures I took while I was doing it.
So this is everything that came in that little kit I showed you last week - the sacking cloth, the tutorial DVD, paper instructions, pokey-thing, and material-measuring-device (unofficial names...).
Basically, you cut strips of material, wrap it around the measuring thing, snip up the groove, and voila, you have little strips of material.
You end up with both ends of the strip poking out of the same side of the sacking, with it looped around on the other side. You then just keep adding strips and on the other side, it starts to look like something!! Its super slow going - I haven't done any more yet. This will be a long term project.
Also - sneaky ninja shot of Sophie sitting at my desk whilst I was making my rug. Look at these pyjama bottoms. What a babe!
In other news, as I said, I dip dyed my hair and pierced my ears, get me!
Pierced those bad boys all by myself (Sophie helped a bit, I guess...)! AND DEAR GOD IT HURT. I look composed on this picture. This is several hours later, keep that in mind. IT REALLY REALLY HURT
And the dip dyed hair, courtesy of our resident hair dresser Lizzie.
How cool am I! I actually love it! This is only a semi permanent dye, whilst I was deciding, but I'm going permanent next time. EXCITEMENT
Aaaand lastly - LIZ EARLE.
This is the most fabulously beautiful genius stuff in the world. I'm not even kidding, I mean it.
Liz Earle is like a skincare brand thingy and when it was first mentioned I was all 'meh, its only facewash for godsake...'. It is SO MUCH MORE than facewash. Just look at it.
The bottles and tubes and stuff were all individually wrapped, and I got a complimentary mini-facewash sample, a complimentary face mask, muslin cloths, cool sponges (has a sponge ever been cool before now?) and then obviously the cleanser, the toner and the moisturiser I actually bought. (Bargain price of £41.00... it was actually on sale...)
So aside from looking amazing, it actually felt like heaven. And the facemask was just so good (I've looked more attractive without a face mask on, not going to lie, but it was a necessary sacrifice).
I will now be a fanatic skincare-regime person. I've never really stuck to stuff like that before, but this is life changing. Seriously. Get some.

I'll be back tomorrow with my Week Two 'picture-in' of new healthy me!
